Personal data protection

Data protection and our team

We are committed to protecting the personal data of our customers and partners, in accordance with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, where it applies, European Regulation No. 2016/679 (GDPR).

We have implemented a high level of internal protection for the data entrusted to us, together with a record of every action carried out on that data.

We help your company comply with the Data Protection Act 2017 and, if you process data of European residents, with the GDPR, by providing all the means needed to protect and secure your information system.

“Dedicace Software Mauritius” is committed to its customers and partners to protect personal data, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017 of the Republic of Mauritius and, where processing concerns individuals located in the European Union, with European Regulation No. 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

No data is passed on to third-party companies without the prior consent of the customer and of the person(s) responsible for the data. This may include (non-exhaustive list) first and last name, e-mail address, company name and postal address. Such transfers are necessary, for example, to register licences in the end customer’s name, or to buy or rent a product or service on the end customer’s behalf.

For any project requiring access to or management of personal data, for example when handling databases, a work order is agreed between “Dedicace Software Mauritius” and the customer. It details the actions carried out, the data concerned, the data controllers and the duration of the intervention.

“Dedicace Software Mauritius” has implemented a high level of internal protection for the data entrusted to it, together with a record of every action carried out on that data. Each customer can access all the information (actions and data) concerning them on request.

For any intervention involving data, or any request for access rights to certain data, “Dedicace Software Mauritius” obtains the consent of the data controller concerned through a dedicated form. No request that has not been approved by the data controller is processed or accepted by “Dedicace Software Mauritius”.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017, in force in Mauritius since 15 January 2018, and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

– The personal data you provide will only be used within the contractual relationship between you and Dedicace Software Mauritius. It will not be used for purposes outside the scope of the requested service.

– Data that has not been used for three years is regularly deleted from our databases (at least once a year), or according to the terms explicitly described for the service concerned.

– All our customers can exercise their right of access to the data concerning them. They may also request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection or portability by contacting our Data Protection Officer: [email protected]. A complaint may also be lodged with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius or, for individuals covered by the GDPR, with the supervisory authority of their country of residence.
